  • Welder

    Duties: 

    • Fabrication of containers for handling waste, recyclables, and other products.
    • Communicate with sales and design department about upcoming needs and prioritization of tasks
    • Various other duties as required

     

    Qualifications:

    • Welding experience with MIG required (stick and TIG considered an asset).
    • Experience with equipment operation- loaders, forklifts, crane booms, etc. is an asset but training can be provided if needed
    • Familiar with plasma cutters, presses, and other equipment
    • Self-motivated, goal and team oriented
    • Positive attitude, enthusiastic, and dedicated
    • Leads by example in a challenging environment
    • Ability to work safely, and promote safe work practices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Journeyman/Apprenticeship experience not a necessity – farm/personal welding experience is also acceptable
    • As a condition of employment, a criminal record check will be required.

  • Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    The Forklift Operator – Shipping and Receiving, will be responsible supplying or moving materials and products to various areas of production to ensure efficient workflow. This role will also manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies and ensure all outgoing products have all required hardware included.

    Job Duties

    • Communicate with Pre-fab and Welding Supervisors to have material in place for all areas to ensure smooth workflow
    • Prepare loads of products for shipping
    • Load trucks with products
    • Supply Pre-fab area with new material, count to ensure proper quantities and store in proper place
    • Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
    • Receive and process warehouse stock products, count and place items in their proper storage location
    • Report any discrepancies in inventory to management
    • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, and hours of service, following applicable provincial and federal regulations
    • Sort and package hardware for orders prior to shipping
    • Alert Supervisor to any cases of missing documentation, shipments, or deliveries
    • Maintain yard organization and cleanliness
    • Basic maintenance on equipment, ie; greasing
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 years experience equipment operation – forklift & telehandler tickets are required
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Safety conscious
    • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
    • Self-motivated and productive, demonstrated time management skills
    • Goal and team oriented
    • Able to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
    • Good hand-eye coordination
    • Mechanical aptitude/maintenance experience an asset
    • Welding experience an asset
    • Must have a Class 5 drivers’ license with clean abstract
    • As a condition of employment, a criminal record check and drivers abstract are required.
